Location

Reflexology sessions take place at:

64 Dufferin St, 2nd Floor
Bridgewater, Nova Scotia

When you arrive, enter through the side door off the parking lot. After leaving your footwear at the top of the stairs, come in and have a seat by the reception desk.

There is no secretary at this desk. Your reflexologist will meet you there shortly and guide you to the treatment room.

Please note: the clinic asks that outdoor footwear be removed at the door. Bringing socks or indoor footwear is recommended.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

What does reflexology feel like?

Reflexology is generally relaxing, though some areas may feel more sensitive depending on what is happening in the body. I always work within your comfort level.

What should I wear to my session?

Comfortable clothing is recommended. You will remain fully clothed and only need to remove your shoes and socks.

What happens during the first session?

We begin with a health history review, including medications, past injuries, and any concerns you may have. From there, you will relax while I work through reflex points on your feet or hands.

What might I feel after a session?

Many people feel more relaxed after a session. Some notice reduced discomfort, improved sleep, or a general sense of ease over the next day or two.

How often should I come?

This depends on your individual needs. Some clients come regularly for ongoing support, while others book as needed.

Do you provide insurance receipts?

Yes. I am a Registered Reflexology Therapist and can provide receipts for insurance purposes where applicable.

Can I have reflexology if I have a blood clot or take blood thinners?

There is much to consider if you have active blood clots and you may have to wait for medical approval. Each case is individual. A thorough health history is important. If you are on treatment for blood clots and have no mobility restrictions, your doctor may approve reflexology.

Will I have side effects?

Detoxification is a cleansing process whereby the body seeks to cleanse itself, as the organs are stimulated to bring the body into balance. Most people experience very few symptoms, if any. Drinking lots of water after the sessions helps reduce the likelihood of significant symptoms.

How can I have foot reflexology if I have ticklish feet?

Despite over 7000 nerve endings in the bottom of each foot, even in those people who have ticklish feet, reflexology does not usually tickle. If you are particularly ticklish in your feet, tell me before the session begins and I will be able to desensitize your feet so they are not ticklish during the treatment.

Can I stop my medications if I am having reflexology?

No. Do not make any changes to your medication without consulting your physician. If you are taking medications for certain conditions such as diabetes, blood pressure, or thyroid, you should advise your physician that you are having reflexology therapy and ask that levels be monitored, as they may need to adjust your medication as your body self-regulates.
